We’re pleased to introduce a new range of competency assessments called SkillCheck. These skill-based tests assess a person’s ability and knowledge required to undertake specific tasks relevant to a role.
Types of assessments
The SkillCheck range features a number of assessments which test a variety of competencies at different levels. These include:
-
Software Skills – Microsoft suite (Excel / Word / PowerPoint)
-
Accounting + Finance – MYOB, accounts payable, payroll, bookkeeping etc
-
Clerical Office – customer service, computer literacy, office manager skills, filing.
Is SkillCheck right for me?
If you're recruiting for a role that involves essential skills such as data entry, accounting and Excel, SkillCheck provides greater clarity into the candidate's ability to complete these tasks. The assessment also provides the candidate with an insight into what to expect from the role and whether the position is right for them.
EQ Consultants’ Accredited Consultant, Chloe Jones, works alongside employers to establish which assessments are suitable for their requirements, before setting them up and providing extensive feedback.
Chloe explains: “Whether you’re recruiting for a new role or undertaking individual development, the SkillCheck assessments are an effective way of determining the suitability of a candidate / progression of a team member. The tests have various characteristics, from beginner to advanced level, timed or not timed, and can be carried out remotely at any time - meaning that they are extremely flexible and can be easily adapted to suit.
“The beauty of these assessments is the range of roles they can be used for, from sales to admin support, quantity surveying to accounting – SkillCheck is a great way of determining these essential business abilities. It is also a beneficial way of measuring skill development over a period of time.”
