National Business Development Manager

The Opportunity
- Strategic Planning & New Business – drive the growth and expansion of new business for a range of products and services on a national basis
- Client Relationship Management – foster relationships with key clients
- Reporting & Analysis – prepare detailed business development reports, track progress against targets, and provide insights to senior management
As the National Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind developing and implementing national business strategies to achieve company growth objectives. You will play a key role in identifying and securing new business partnerships to expand the customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the business development and key account management functions to strengthen customer loyalty and enhance market presence
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential markets and new business opportunities
- Align sales strategies with overall company goals and market conditions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders and industry partners
- Transition new accounts seamlessly to relevant parties for day-to day management, ensuring a smooth handover and continued high-quality service
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, which may involve giving presentations
- Use CRM software to track leads, manage client interactions, and monitor the sales pipeline
- Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless product launches and market penetration, and other departments to ensure cohesive execution of business strategies
- Proven track record of identifying and securing new business at a national level
- Proficiency in in CRM software for managing leads, client interactions, and analysing sales data
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to critically analyse and assimilate information to achieve goals or solve practical issues
- A senior sales role reporting through to the Group Sales Manager
