What will you be doing? 

Canterbury Scientific wishes to employ an experienced and highly organised Logistics Coordinator to join their Operations team. You will be responsible for purchasing, inventory control and managing day to day receipting to ensure continued supply of quality components. You will also have a focus on maintaining stock levels and ensuring streamlined and efficient warehousing processes. 

You will create and maintain superb relationships with suppliers and have an eye to securing new/alternative suppliers for the business. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will also coordinate customer orders into the production schedule, overseeing product packing and shipping, ensuring that all related activities adhere to company requirements.  You will have a strong understanding of the importance of adhering to quality systems across all work that you do. 

We are looking for the best; you will have:    
  • Solid inventory management experience.
  • Experience in arranging freight forwarders and preparing shipping documents.
  • 2+ years’ experience in packing product for shipping within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective business relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability/approach – able to evaluate data and reach a sound conclusion.
  • Be able to work independently but also as part of a small, well-functioning team.
  • A self-starter with excellent computer and communication skills.
